Los Rakas x Raka Rich Release “Prende” with 420 Twist

On April 2nd, Los Rakas x Raka Rich released their newest single “Prende”. “Prende” will be featured on Raka Rich’s forthcoming solo project.

As Spring arrives, Los Rakas x Raka Rich are looking to create the perfect soundtrack for warm weather vibes. “Prende'' is a synth-heavy, groovy cut that will have you bouncing from start to finish. For the accompanying music video, you see the guys, along with many friends, hanging around their favorite California spots embodying good vibes only.

In sharing about the new single, Raka Rich said, “We feel very excited & proud to launch the first single ‘Prende’, a smooth California-style type of beat to ride in your low rider to as you drive through the sunset, passing the palm trees and indulging in the most exotic cannabis.”

The band also created a special 420 virtual campaign with “Drops.” The AR experience was a fun project for the guys, and made it possible for them to do a special 420 merch giveaway for the Raka crew.

Los Rakas is comprised of cousins Raka Rich and Raka Dun, pioneering Panamanians by way of the Bay Area on the frontier of a new Latin urban sound. Known for their fresh mix of hip-hop, plena, reggae and dancehall music; the Grammy-nominated duo represents the cutting edge of Pan-American flows.

More recently, Los Rakas have been hosting their weekly livestream show ‘Raka TV’ where the duo converse about current events with special guests. The purpose of RakaTV is to create a sense of community as well as educate listeners on current issues and happenings in the world. Guests include Raq C, DJ Epic, Coco Peila, Dayanara Thompson, and many more. 

Raka Rich is set to release his solo project later this year.
