To kick off the release of their much anticipated album Heroes in the Healing of the Nation, West Coast hip-hop crew Zion I & The Grouch are excited to announce a nationwide tour, starting March 19 at the historic Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco. The trio, long since known for tackling weighty topics, are donating 100% of all ticketing fees sold through ZioniAndTheGrouch.com to local community organizations. The group has partnered up with different organizations in every city, such as Universal Giving, Project Commotion, Self Enhancement Center, and Urban Peak.

Zion I Update + NYE Show Info
Zion I’s new album “Atomic Clock” was released last month and is matching all of the hype that it has ensued. The album recently hit #1 on the CMJ Hip Hop Charts and is receiving amazing reviews all around the board. Zion I has backed the album with a string of album release and music “in store” shows. Highlights included their sold-out 2 night stint at Slim’s SF and their “in store” performance at Rasputin Records in Berkeley, CA.
Zion I will be closing out the year in style playing a New Years Eve show w/ Bassnectar at Tabernacle in Atlanta, GA. This show is already SOLD OUT.
In other Zion I news, the much anticipated follow up effort from Zion I & The Grouch now has an official album title. Zion I & The Grouch “Heroes in the Healing of the Nation” will be released in early 2011. Stay tuned for details.
