Kneebody And Denver Native Shane Endsley Return To The Dazzle Showroom
A jazz quintet with chops beyond their years, Kneebody is breaking new ground while simultaneously walking the line between popular music and jazz improvisation, often with exciting, beautiful results. Eschewing the soloistic histrionics and other ego-driven tendencies young artists sometimes get caught in, Kneebody focuses on an ensemble sound, constantly blurring the line between composed and improvised music. Kneebody and Denver native Shane Endsley returned to the Dazzle Restaurant & Lounge showcasing their trademark sounds.
Postmodern Jazz Quintet Kneebody signs with Yonas Media
Kneebody combines sophisticated instrumental compositions and virtuosic improvising. The band recently collaborated with Theo Bleckmann and Kent Negano to interpret a Charles Ives song cycle, which has been released by the prestigious European label Winter+Winter. They have performed in festivals and venues such as the North Sea Jazz Festival, Whitney Museum, Knitting Factory, SF Jazz Festival, and Stanford Jazz Festival.
